This version, which never made it to the US, replaced Dante with Raidou from Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha vs. Then it was re-released a second time, only in Japan, as Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maxima Chronicle Edition in 2008. This is the version of the game that included Devil May Cry‘s Dante in it, and made its way to the US. It was then re-released in 2004 in Japan as Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maxima, which was an extended director’s cut of the game. This was the original version of the game. Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne was launched exclusively in Japan in 2002. Ok this may be a little complicated, so here’s what happened. Well good news, you can choose to put Dante back! …For a price.
